89% of individuals are taking more action to improve their wellbeing compared to the previous year

In September 2024, lululemon released its fourth annual Global Wellbeing Report, revealing that while 89% of individuals are taking more action to improve their wellbeing compared to the previous year, nearly two-thirds feel overwhelmed by societal expectations to maintain wellness. This pressure has led to "wellbeing burnout" for almost half of the respondents. The report suggests strategies to alleviate this, including practicing mindfulness, engaging in enjoyable physical activities, and connecting with others through movement, noting that those who socialize during physical activity report a 23% higher sense of wellbeing. To further support mental health initiatives, lululemon announced a $3.1 million commitment to organizations like United for Global Mental Health and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
